February 8th, 2010

Generator Power Plant Service 10th Feb 2010

February 5th, 2010

The generator systems are being serviced on the above date.  There should be no risk at all and the power supplies to the computer rooms will still be redundant during the service.

Emergency Maintenance

February 1st, 2010

This reload will actually be between 0300 and 0400 on the 2nd Feb, not as previously posted.

The router directly connected to the far end one of our circuits is going to be reloaded by our supplier in the next few minutes to clear an issue.  We do no anticipate any loss of connectivity as traffic will take alternative paths but there may be a few seconds of instability whilst routes update.

Unscheduled Maintenance

January 30th, 2010

We have had to reboot a VM host which has resulted in us taking some services offline.  These include Hosted Exchange and some outbound mail relaying.  Apologies for the inconvenience.    We expect normal service to resume shortly.

Scheduled Router Reloads Thursday 28th Jan 2010, 03:00hrs – 04:00hrs

January 20th, 2010

Please be aware that both routers terminating our feeds into the Telford Data Centre will be reloaded to install a new IOS within the above maintenance window.  They will be done one at a time so we anticipate no loss of connectivity at all but the circuits will not be redundant whilst the other reboots.

Emergency maintenance on hosting platform FW1

November 3rd, 2009

We have this morning received notification from a customer that web sites are being partially displayed. We have identified a possible issue with fw1.telford.rockford-it.net.
We intent on performing an emergency in-line upgrade of the firmware. This will result in approximately 5 minutes of downtime to websites hosted, and to DNS lookup queries.

We plan to do this at 10:30am 3rd November 2009.

Planned email system upgrade

October 21st, 2009

This Friday at 8pm we will be updating one of our email servers ( pop3.rockfordmail.co.uk ) which means it will be unavailable for sending or receiving email at that time. I hope it will be a matter of 15-30 minutes, but please allow up to 2 hours to give some room for the unexpected, and for delayed email to come through.

The update will bring a better web interface for you, and improved behind-the-scenes management options for us.

VoIP Platform Maintenance: Tuesday 20th October 0400-0500

October 16th, 2009

Our upstream VoIP provider is performing emergency work on the database servers controlling their VoIP platform. It is expected that this work will take between 30 and 45 minutes to complete.  The Rockford Support Helpdesk will be unavailable during this period.

Potential issue with False/Positive SPAM

October 7th, 2009

Customers who subscribe to our anti-spam service should be aware that we are investigating an issue whereby a small percentage amount of false positives are being recorded. We are working with our provider to establish whether this is a genuine problem.

Thus far we have had a minority of customers advise they have experienced what was previously regarded as non-SPAM mail being incorrectly tagged. It is therefore suggested that the end-user-spam-release (EUSR) mails are observed with greater detail until further notice.

Upstream provider lns memory leak

September 18th, 2009

At approximately 11:34 we were made aware of routing issues particular customers were experiencing.

We are informed that this is due to a memory leak in an SNMP module.

Customers are advised to switch their terminating equipment off for 15 minutes and then re-attempt a connection.
